What Our people say about our training

FAQs

How is this different from Mental Health First Aid or Wellbeing Champion training?

This workshop is for the wider workforce, focusing on understanding mental health and wellbeing. Mental Health First Aid and Wellbeing Champion training prepare people for a specific role supporting others.

Can the content be adapted for our organisation?

Yes. Examples and activities can be adapted to reflect your workplace, sector and workforce, while keeping the core learning outcomes of the workshop.

Can managers attend too?

Yes. Managers can attend alongside their teams and gain the same foundation in understanding mental health and wellbeing at work. This workshop does not replace specialist training for managers who need additional skills in managing mental health at work.

Will I have to talk about my own mental health?

No. The workshop includes reflection and discussion, but participants are not expected to disclose personal experiences. You can take part in a way that feels comfortable for you.

Is this suitable if we already have Mental Health First Aiders?

Yes. It can complement an existing network of Mental Health First Aiders by giving the wider workforce a shared understanding of mental health, rather than expecting first aiders to carry the whole responsibility.

Does the workshop cover mental health conditions?

It introduces common mental health concepts and conditions, but the focus is not on diagnosing or learning about conditions in depth. The emphasis is on understanding mental health and its relationship with working life.
